Biography:

Springtrap, also known as William Afton, is a primary antagonist in the *Five Nights at Freddy's* (FNAF) franchise. He is a dilapidated, decaying animatronic rabbit suit.

William Afton was a serial killer responsible for the deaths of several children at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He evaded capture by hiding inside the Spring Bonnie suit, one of the restaurant's animatronic characters.

However, the suit's springlock mechanisms malfunctioned, crushing and killing Afton inside. He was trapped within the animatronic, left to rot for years. Springtrap's first appearance was in the third main installment of the FNAF game series, *Five Nights at Freddy's 3*.

The character embodies the themes of death, decay, and the consequences of past actions, becoming a terrifying figure in the FNAF universe.
